As part of the Wizkit project, Daniel Genkin (UMichigan) and collaborators presented their findings on side channel attacks on smartphones at the 2021 IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy. They show the first side channel attack on smartphones that recovers the elliptic curve secret scalar from the electromagnetic signals.
